Veganuary 2019 is already off to the most incredible start, with a vegan seafood range and 3 pizzas at Sainsbury’s, the Gregg’s sausage roll, the Jackfruit addition at Pizza Hut, the new vegan sandwiches at Boots, and now M&S have bought out a range of 60 vegan meals – and we’re only on day 3!

Yes, I’m going to be a self-indulgent prick and spend an entire post talking about what I’ve done this year.

Before you tell me that at 10 months, Remy is far too young to care about Christmas, let me stop you – I am fully aware. I know that anything and everything I do to make this Christmas special is really just for me, and that Remy is going to wake up on December 25th, shout at us, and then shit himself like any other day.

There are now so many vegan options I get a bit overwhelmed because I’m insistent on trying them all. I never would have eaten pigs in blankets before, but vegan ones? Sign me up. I hate mince pies, but vegan ones? It’s Christmas, might as well buy them!
I thought I’d compile a list of all the readily available vegan goodies you can try out this Christmas, because it’ll make me feel better if everyone else is overestimating their appetites too.

Our first stop was The Christmas Courtyard, filled with tables and chairs to sit at while you enjoy a hot chocolate or slice of cake from the takeaway kiosk. They’d really put effort into making it look beautiful and festive, with fake snow billowing out from a high up window, which all of the younger kids seemed to love playing with. There was definitely an air of excitement and happiness which was so lovely to see; like I said, we rarely do days out like this so seeing children that excitable is still a bit of a novelty to me.
