Formerly a temporary pop-up vendor in Trinity Kitchen, Wanderer Junk have been serving up seitan burgers & loaded fries to the grateful citizens of Leeds since the start of summer. I think I speak on behalf of literally every Leeds vegan when I say we were all dreading the day their residency would end and we would be left trekking to Kirkstall for MOG’s once more. However, in September, they saved all our asses and announced they had taken over the Chapel of Church, which is right next to the Leeds Uni campus. God. Bless. These. Guys.

I never thought I could fancy an item of clothing this much but it honestly takes my breath away, it’s so bloody beautiful. I’m fully aware that I will never wear a dress like this in this lifetime, but a girl can dream, and also spend every waking moment checking to see if someone is selling theirs secondhand.

I’ve had many an adventure in this place. When I was 7 months pregnant, I ordered a virgin strawberry mojito and they brought a definitely-not-virgin-and-actually-very-alcoholic one to the table and I “accidentally” sipped too much of it before sending it back because when you’ve gone that long without alcohol you need to take what you can get. We also came here about ten minutes after Danny proposed to me. He proposed, I said yes, we got very excited and contemplated finally going to a fancy restaurant and ordering champagne, and then we saw the Common Room and said fuck it, let’s get a kebab.
